Rollout 3 will be Scorecard, Hyperion Planning & Budgeting. We will use these new INFORMS tools and processes for planning, budgeting and using scorecards to measure our growth, performance and level of resilience.
Scorecard
- Rolled out February 2020
- Provides a balanced scorecard format for up to four reporting levels (County Commission, Department, Division and Section)
- New resilience scorecards, based on a framework created by the Rockefeller Foundation, will be available at the County and department level. These scorecards will help us monitor our level of resilience as we navigate our unique challenges such as lack of affordable housing, aging infrastructure and the potential devastation caused by hurricanes.
Hyperion Planning and Budgeting
The County's planning, capital and budgeting tool, Hyperion, is moving to an updated version. As part of the upgrade, here are some new features:
- Aligning our budget to our chart of accounts
- Single entry in Hyperion of Budget with a revamped RFRO
- Revamping the position and employee budgeting process
- Capital Systems will integrate with the General Ledger
- More real time feeds of position and employee data so that personnel budgets more closely align to current state
