Pre-register to adopt a tree May 18

Since its inception in 2001, the Adopt-a-Tree Program has distributed more than 239,939 trees to county residents.

The first Adopt-a-Tree event of the season will take place Saturday, May 18, at the Miami Dade College North Campus, located at 11380 NW 27th Avenue, Building #9. The event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at noon, or when there are no trees left for adoption.

The tree selection for this event includes:

  • Grafted Carambola
  • Jamaican Caper
  • Krug's Holly
  • Mexican Alvaradoa
  • Red Mulberry
  • Soursop
  • White Stopper
